As is usual every summer, former President Barack Obama published his playlist with the songs he has listened to the most this season. While Bad Bunny, Feid and Ozuna are part of this year's playlist, other Latin artists have also had the opportunity to be recognized by the former president year after year. 

In 2023 it featured La Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro; in 2022 it was Bad Bunny and Bomba Estéreo with “Ojitos Lindos”, as well as La Rosalía with “Saoko”. 

This year the music space featured the songs “Bad Boy” by Chris Jedi, Gaby Music and Dei V with Anuel AA and Ozuna; and “Perro Negro” by Bad Bunny and Feid.

Other artists featured on former President Obama's 2024 roster include Billie Eilish, Lucinda Williams, Myles Smith and Bob Marley.

As with every year,Obama's selection of music tracks offer a diverse mix of genres and styles that capture a wide variety of audiences across all age groups. 

 

Books of the summer 

In addition to sharing his playlist, Obama also released his annual reading list, which includes 14 novels and nonfiction works that explore global and American history, culture, feminism, the meaning of democracy and more.

“I've read some great books over the past few months and wanted to share some of my favorites. Let me know if you have any recommendations for books I should read,” the former president wrote via his Instagram and X account.

Among the titles chosen by Obama are “Headshot” by Rita Bullwinkel, a Booker Prize finalist, and “The Ministry of Time” by British author Kaliane Bradley, which has been one of the most popular books of the summer.
