The last performance can also be followed free of charge via streaming through the Palau Digital portal. According to Carulla, president of the Fundació Orfeó Català-Palau de la Música, the hope is to bring Vives' work to a wider audience.
Vives, along with composer Lluís Millet, was one of the driving forces behind the Orfeó Català. Both, impressed by the "choral excellence" of the international choirs they saw at the Universal Exposition in Barcelona in 1888, decided to found one in Catalonia.
The cast of the cycle is led by tenor Josep Bros and soprano Isabella Gaudí, accompanied by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, the Cor d'Amics de l'Òpera de Sabadell and the Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música, under the direction of Puig.
