Olga Tañon releases new version of 'Es mentiroso'
The Puerto Rican singer kept merengue as the base of the song, but added modern sounds and a "jocular" chorus.
In 1994, Olga Tañon's song "Es mentiroso" was part of her album Siente el Amor and became one of the most recognized songs from the 'Woman of Fire' worldwide, and also became an anthem of female empowerment.
"'Es mentiroso' is one of the songs that has given me the most satisfaction. That's why, when choosing which song I wanted to cover, this was a priority. And for the men who complained that they couldn't defend themselves, now they have a space within the song," said Tañon in a press release.
