Selena Gomez releases 'De una vez' in a tribute to her Latino heritage
The singer and actress of Mexican roots, released a single in Spanish and her fans have received it with lots of love.
Selena Gomez's most recent song, 'De una vez,' reached 15 million views just a few hours after its release. Fans of the artist were waiting for Gomez to produce new material, but the excitement of seeing the new album as a tribute to her Latin heritage has been reflected in the positive reaction to the song.
After 10 years of not singing in Spanish, the new song is a way to pay tribute to her Latin legacy.
"This is something I've wanted to do for 10 years, to work on a Spanish project, because I'm so, so proud of my heritage, and I really felt like I wanted this to happen," explained Gomez.
The release was announced on social media, but a number of murals appeared in different cities as a precursor to the new song. The phrases "De una vez" and "Baila conmigo," appeared in murals in Mexico City, Guadalajara, and other cities in the country.
There have even been some reports of the same murals appearing in Brazil.

"De una vez" was produced by Puerto Rican Tainy, winner of several Latin Grammys, and who has collaborated in the past with artists such as Bad Bunny and J Balvin.
