August 2nd, 2022On Thursday night, the Heat Awards were held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, where Colombian artists stood out for their talent and during their performances.
The Awards evening, which reached its 7th edition, was hosted by influential Latin personalities such as Goyo, Molusco, Maria Laura Quintero, Caroline Aquino and Anaís Castro. In addition, famous talents such as Heisel Mora, Sebas and Marko animated the prelude to this special celebration on the big Red Carpet.
In this edition of the Heat, the most outstanding artists in the world of entertainment were awarded, and the gala's protagonists were artists such as El Alfa, Danny Ocean, Ryan Castro and Karol G, as well as several Colombian celebrities who stood out throughout the night.
During the awards ceremony, one of the honorees was Colombian musician Fonseca, who received the trajectory award from his compadre Andrés Cepeda.
Carlos Vives won the award for best tropical artist, thanks to his efforts to bring vallenato music to explore new sounds within the musical trends emerging around the world. Vives also received recognition for the work of his foundation Tras la perla, an initiative that seeks to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the city of Santa Marta and its area of influence. It brings together various forces that are articulated to discover the potential of the territory and its inhabitants. The initiative also has as its mission to have a balance that contemplates environmental and cultural aspects in its place of impact.
Other Colombian artists who received awards during the ceremony were Karol G, chosen as best female Latin artist; Greeicy, as best pop artist; and the band Morat from Bogota, which won the title of best rock artist.
The award for best influencer went to the Colombian Calle and Poché, while the award for "Musical Promise" went to the artist Dekko.
