Becky G releases her new album 'Esquemas'
It is the second studio album for the singer.
On Friday, May 13, singer Becky G announced the release of her new studio album, Esquemas. The new album shows a new sense of fearlessness and confidence from the artist.
Esquemas was released through Kemosabe/RCA Records, an album where Mexican-American pop star dictates her own terms, fusing disco-pop and reggaeton in a unique blend of sounds.
This is Becky's second studio album and comes at an exciting time for the global superstar, as her current single "MAMIII" featuring Karol G continues to be a worldwide sensation. Recently, Becky surprised fans at Coachella by performing the single with Karol during her set both weekends of the festival.

The dance disco-pop track and latest single, "Bailé Con Mi Ex," is the heart of the album. In an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, Becky said the song was originally written in English for a male artist, but as she fell in love with the track, she decided to put a twist on the pronouns and add a Latin twist.
"Especially in Latin culture, there's a lot of machismo around what a woman does: how she dresses, how she talks, how she is in a room... Everything is so specific to categorize a woman and her place. So I was like, 'I don't know, I feel like a man is expected to sing this?' It hurts so much more when it's a woman,'" she told Lowe.
Esquemas also pays homage to the singer's bubblegum pop roots on the track "Flashback," featuring a collaboration with Elana Rose, and on "Dolores," where Becky displays her full vocal range as she intones poignant lyrics about experiencing love despite the pain.
To promote Esquemas, Becky will be the musical guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on May 24.
