Bad Gyal, who's had the hot hand for hits of late, and is in the best moment of his career, has announced two big concerts in Barcelona and Madrid. In front of the audience of her country, Alba Farelo will show why she is considered one of the new great stars of Spanish urban music, with her particular fusion of reggaeton, dancehall and trap.

At just 25 years old, she became a phenom despite starting her career without any support. From her own home, she self-produced her first demos, which included a Catalan version of Rihana's popular “Work.” Now, she has three studio albums, is an actress, and even founded her own clothing collection at Bershka.

In this great moment, Bad Gyal will offer two performances on Feb. 11, 2023 at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona and Feb. 17  at the WiZink Center in Madrid. Despite the shows being almost a year away, tickets will go on sale this Friday, May 6. The singer will also perform soon at the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona, in Los Angeles, Buenos Aires and Santiago, Chile, among other cities in Latin America.

The singer's team said that her performances in Spain next year will be totally self-produced, and will give continuity "to the show that the artist will offer in the second half of this year to different stages and festivals." According to her collaborators, "Bad Gyal is in great shape and her game is controlled by the rules she has written.”

The Catalan artist, who likes to show off luxury and comfort in her music videos and posts, announced her two major performances on social media with a photo of her half-naked – covered in a white towel – while eating oysters, likely in a hotel room.

Considered one of the pioneers of urban music, the singer spent time traveling through Jamaica and other Latin American countries to delve into styles such as dembow and other genres that greatly influenced her. Songs like “Jarancanda” show her evolution: it's a mix of dancehall, reggaeton and even R&B, all passed through her own filter.

Bad Gyal recently released her latest album Warm Up and the EP Sound System: The Final Releases. Her latest album is a succession of hits, which will likely make up a good part of her setlist in Barcelona and Madrid. The latest EP is also made up of some songs she already performed live, but had not recorded and released until now.

With her mixture of songs in Catalan, Spanish and English, the singer has probed her musical and thematic versatility in songs that range from romantic ballads to explicitly sexual themes. Her hits “Flow 20002,” “Hookah” and “Fiebre” are part of the soundtrack of the new generation.
