"Me porto bonito": Bad Bunny's new Summer hit with Chenco Corleone
As he did in a past video for “Yo perreo sola,” the Puerto Rican icon plays a more feminine role in his new music video.
Bad Bunny is still pushing hard for his music to be the soundtrack of Summer 2022. This time, he does so by dropping the music video for “Me porto bonito,” a reggaeton hit released with Chencho Corleone. It is the song with the most plays off his latest album, Un verano sin ti, where Bad Bunny incorporated some reggae songs into his creative repertoire.
In the music video, he appears cleaning a luxurious car at the request of some girls who ask him to prepare it for a night of partying. Later, his partner Corleone drives the vehicle, throwing compliments at the girls, and promising that "if you ask me, I'll behave nicely." Then, a fisheye lens captures both singers with the girls, who are the focus of the video, before taking part in a nighttime pool party with dozens of women.
As he did in the past with the music video for “Yo perreo sola,” Bad Bunny also plays a more feminine role in the video for "Me porto bonito." He is the 'sexy figure' who washes the car with a hose. However, by the end of the video, the usual clichés of the reggaeton universe are on full display.
Un verano sin ti is breaking records. In just five days, it became Spotify's most-listened-to album in 2022. Throughout the whole year up to this point, he has also accumulated 183 million listens for his entire library, surpassing Drake (176.8 million), who was the previous leader. If these figures continue to grow, Bad Bunny will likely once again be the most-listened-to artist at the end of the year on Spotify, as he was in 2020 and 2021.

Faced with a Summer that started out especially hot, Bad Bunny joined forces with his compatriot to promote dips in the pool, parties and wild dances. The music video for “Me porto bonito” was directed by Fernando Luego, and it was at the top of YouTube's trending videos list in a couple hours.
Fan reactions were mostly positive. "Without a doubt, the best song on the album," "It will be 2050, but Chencho's voice will never go out of style," "This song is historic, Chencho always gives that special touch to the songs" and "I love that in his videos or concerts he is so inclusive,” were some of the comments left on YouTube by fans.
Bad Bunny's new music video release comes just a few weeks after the release of the video for"Tití me preguntó," where he collaborated with his girlfriend, Gabriela Berlingeri, who appears at the end as an angel fallen from heaven and dressed as a bride, prepared to marry him.
Currently, Bad Bunny is on his World's Hottest Tour, with concerts scheduled until the end of the year throughout America. His next performances will be in August in Orlando, Atlanta, Miami, Boston, Chicago, Washington and New York.
