Medellin will have a very special subway car on its rails starting this Tuesday, the one signed by musician Juanes in this Colombian city where he grew up and became an artist.
The underground transport is also decorated with images from his latest disc.
"Now I've got a subway!" the singer-songwriter said when he saw the car pull into the Poblado station in Medellin.
Accompanied by a crowd of reporters, cameramen, photographers and curiosity seekers seeking to capture the moment and keep it forever, Juanes got on the subway with his wife, three kids and a former mayor of the city, Federico Gutierrez.
Inside the subway car he continued to enjoy the intergalactic artworks from his latest album "Mis Planes Son Amarte" (My Plans Are to Love You), to be launched Tuesday night in his old hometown.
Besides the artwork that can be enjoyed by all commuters on the Medellin subway, there are recent photos of the singer surrounded by his words of love for his city.
Juanes told EFE he is happy to "see how the city has changed."

"It's great being able to come present a disc from Medellin to the world. It makes me excited, because in my career as a soloist I've never done it and it's an obligation I've had pending," he said.
The artist noted that he travels "constantly" to Medellin, where he is always surprised by how much everything is changing. "It still has a lot of social problems because what goes on in Colombia doesn't make it easy, but still, a lot of progress has been made," he said.
Proof of the love Juanes feels for the city, capital of Antioquia province and the second largest in Colombia, is that he has instilled in his children such a passion for the place that they now move around it with all the ease of fish through water, though with the shyness typical of their age.
Juanes's celebrity appearance in Medellin continues Tuesday night with the presentation of "Mis Planes Son Amarte" in a gala setting, red carpet and all.
