Among the winners of the night is Colombia, which swept 14 awards including, 'South America's Leading Airport' for El Dorado Airport, Bogota, 'South America's Leading Beach Destination' for San Andres, 'South America's Leading Cruise Port' for Puerto Cartagena, South America's leading cultural city' for Santiago de Cali, 'South America's leading emerging tourist destination' for Medellín, 'South America's leading festival and events destination' for Barranquilla, 'South America's leading honeymoon destination' for Cartagena de Indias.

For hotels, the award went to the Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Cartagena, as 'Leading Hotel in South America', the Hotel 101 Park House Suites & Spa in Bogotá, as 'Leading Luxury Hotel in South America', the Sofitel Barú Cala Blanca, as 'Leading New Hotel in South America', the 23 Hotel in Medellín as 'Leading Design Hotel in South America'.

Colombia also won the award for 'South America's Leading Promotion Agency' from ProColombia.

Mexico won with the city of Acapulco, which took first prize for 'Leading City Destination in Mexico and Central America', while Tulum took the title of 'Leading Beach Destination in Mexico and Central America'.

In hotels, the Gaia Hotel & Reserve took the award for 'Leading eco-friendly hotel in Mexico and Central America'.

Peru took the title of 'Leading Culinary Destination in South America' for its avant-garde gastronomy.

Finally, Ecuador, with Quito, the country's capital, won the award for 'Leading Destination City in South America' and the city of Guayaquil won the title of 'Leading Meetings & Conferences Destination in South America'.
