December 23rd, 2022The 2023 Ibero-American Film Festival in Miami began with the screening of the Argentine film The Manager (2022), by Ariel Winogard, which is based on a true story about a TV company created a false ad saying that if Argentina did not qualify for the World Cup in Russia (2018), they would return money to paying customers.
Argentina is the guest country of this edition of the IAFFM, and on Wednesday, Jan. 25, there is a tribute to Argentine director Juan José Campanella, winner in 2010 of the Oscar for Best Foreign Film, for El secreto de sus ojos.
Participating countries in the festival include different artistic and documentary films from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Uruguay.
