Joëlle Jones is the artist behind the story and drawing recently revealed as a preview of Future State: Wonder Woman #1, in which there will be a Brazilian incarnation of Wonder Woman as part of the future of DC's storylines.

The writer and cartoonist, who was born in Idaho and is based in Los Angeles, is a renowned contemporary figure known for Lady Killer and her adaptations with Catwoman.

After the last big events and crossovers in the DC universe, Dark Nights: Metal and Dark Nights: Death Metal, which are set to occur in the present chronology, now they're opting for a macro event in the future of that same timeline that will leave issues to be solved.

It's a similar narrative to the Convergence event, Future End, 2099 and the Imperfect Future saga. Future Ends not only features Yara Flor, but also Jon Kent and the first non-binary character in the universe, Kid Quick.

In the middle of these great events, the mini thematic series called spin-offs are a challenge where the artists must give their best and most original efforts to make striking stories without disrupting the official timeline of the events.

Joëlle Jones faces this test in the new Wonder Woman mini series. However, it should also be clarified that although Diana is an Amazonian princess from Temyschira, she has always had a very Caucasian skin tone.

Needless to say, fans are eager for what's in store.
