June 24th, 2022Retrofuturismo is the new EP of the Colombian-Spanish singer and songwriter Oliva, featuring seven songs that immerse the audience in a whirlwind of sounds and emotions, ranging from pleasure to grief and sadness to joy.
"Otra vida" is the first single from the album, which is now available on all digital platforms. Here, Oliva combines the sadness of putting an end to a relationship with no return and the eternal gratitude and illusion of trying again in the future.
With her lyrics, the singer's fans get to relive the hard moments of heartbreak and the repetitive thoughts that ask what went wrong, why the flame went out and what we must do to evolve as people.
The official video for "Otra vida," directed by Dylan Bolivar and Oliva, explores the elements of the Greek Olympus, presenting Oliva as a mythological goddess who evolves from pain to give way to her true self.

"Fashion Criminal" was the hit that launched her solo career in 2020. The composition pays tribute to fashion and promotes female empowerment, attributes that, along with her voice, caught the attention of Sony Music. To discover her own voice, she explored different sounds, rhythms and after her time on the island of San Andres under the influence of disco and Latin pop, she shaped her project that mixes pop, dance and afrobeats.
