The inaugural AL DÍA 40 Under Forty event will be a showcase of the most diverse and impactful young professionals in various fields of work across the Philadelphia region.

At the virtual event, taking place August 20, 2020, Daniel Roque, 34, will be one of the 40 honorees. He is the Institutional Taxable Fixed Income Sales Associate at Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC. 

As part of the lead-up to the event, AL DÍA asked each of the 40 honorees the same three questions and collected their responses. 

Here are Danny Roque’s responses:

Working in the Finance industry which is traditionally not diverse has proved challenging in my goal to pave a way for other minorities to enter and flourish. When I was young, I decided that I would try to help the next person in line reach their goal. When I see someone else succeed then I have achieve one of my professional goals.

I do not have one major moment that I would call my proudest. However, when I give advice and guidance to students and peers and it proves to springboard them to better things in life. These achievements bring joy to me and makes me proud. Helping others and being present is what I strive to achieve.

Discussion outside of the corporate environment typically makes the biggest impact. Protests across the US and world has led to numerous companies changing internal guideline, increase efforts for inclusivity and provide funding to underserved market in order to build the local communities. These changes will pave a way for more inclusivity in all walks of life.
