Austin-based travel tech company appoints Latino as its Chief Financial Officer
Recently, Mondee Holdings Inc. — an Austin, Texas based travel technology company and travel marketplace — announced the appointment of Jesus Portillo as their new Chief Financial Officer.
Founded in 2011, the company has expanded to operate 17 offices internationally, including Canada, India, Thailand, and Greece. By their measure, they process over 50 million daily searches for various leisure industry members and companies in their network.
Portillo will be taking the role as his predecessor, Dan Figenshu, departs. Figenshu acted in a mentorship role for Portillo, preparing the latter for public company life and in establishing their accounting and finance operations through his tenure, beginning in September 2021.
Figenshu also led the company as it became a publicly traded company in 2022.
"We are thrilled to welcome Jesus, a seasoned global finance executive, to the Mondee family to lead the finance function of the company during our new phase of growth. Jesus brings a proven track record of delivering results and creating value, and we are excited to work with him to accelerate Mondee's sustainable growth. We look forward to Jesus’ leadership and experience," said Mondee's Chairman, CEO, and Founder, Prasad Gundumogula, in a statement.
