In recent weeks, several companies in the United States have recalled products from the market due to possible contamination that poses health risks to consumers. Here are some of the most significant recalls:

Frozen Waffles Due to Listeria Contamination

TreeHouse Foods Inc. voluntarily recalled several varieties of frozen waffles due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The affected products were distributed throughout the United States and Canada under brands like Target’s Good & Gather, Walmart’s Great Value, and Aldi’s Breakfast Best. The contamination was detected during routine testing at the manufacturing plant. To date, no illnesses related to this recall have been reported. 

Dairy Products Due to Listeria Risk

Rizo López Foods voluntarily recalled approximately 60 dairy products, including fresh cheeses and cotija, due to the risk of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. These products were sold nationwide, including stores like Trader Joe's and Costco. At least 26 people in 11 states have fallen ill, with 23 hospitalizations and two deaths reported in California and Texas. 

Ice Cream Due to Possible Listeria Contamination

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ordered the recall of 13 brands of ice cream due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The affected products include over 60 items, including pints, ice cream pies, and ice cream sandwiches, distributed nationwide and sold in retail stores and through direct delivery.

Chicken Products Due to Listeria Risk

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced the recall of more than 450,000 kilograms of chicken-based products, including prepared salads, burritos, and wraps, due to the risk of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The affected products carry establishment numbers "51205 or P-51205" inside or below the USDA inspection mark. 

Candy Due to Mold Contamination

Certain candies were recalled due to the possible presence of mold. The affected products were distributed through retail chains TJ Maxx and Marshalls in multiple states across the country. Consumers who purchased these products should avoid consuming them and return them to the place of purchase.
