You could drive off with the Pope's Fiat
The iconic vehicle is going up for auction.
Some car news coming out ahead of the Philly Auto Show, which starts next week: “Pope Francis’ Philly Fiat” will go up for auction.
Seen driving the Holy Father to and from his appearances during the World Meeting of Families last year, the Fiat 500L will be auctioned off at the annual Philadelphia Auto Show Black Tie Tailgate, an annual fundraising event held the night before the auto show begins.
Organizers said the auction will benefit select ministries and missions of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The auction will allow for both in-person and remote bidding.
There was also a second Fiat used by the Pope during his time in Philadelphia. This vehicle will be on display for the public during the auto show which will be held between Jan. 30 and Feb. 7. Organizers added, the Archdiocese, which owns both vehicles, may elect to auction off this second car as well.
