Less than 12 hours after an Amtrak crash killed two railroad workers and injured dozens of passengers, a separate Amtrak train struck a passenger outside of Philadelphia.

The second accident happened around 7:30 p.m. near the Cromwell Heights station in Bensalem. Fifteen minutes into its journey, a New York City-bound Amtrak train hit a trespasser on the tracks. The train — Keystone 672 — was delayed two hours, the New York Daily News reported. The conductor went car to car to inform passengers of the incident.

WPVI-TV reports that the unidentified male had his leg amputated after the collision.

Several of the passengers on train had already been delayed due to Sunday morning derailment just south of the city.

Around 8 a.m., an Amtrak train en route to Savannah, Ga., crashed into a backhoe near Chester. Two veteran railroad workers on the backhoe were killed, according to Amtrak, and about 35 passengers on board were injured in the crash. A federal investigation into the incident has been launched.

As of Monday afternoon, Amtrak says that most of its regularly scheduled trains have resumed operation.
