'Say their name' in the rain: A rally to end violence against sex workers
A somber vigil took place Thursday at LOVE Park in solidarity with sex workers across the globe.
Droves of rain kept people from lingering too long in LOVE Park Thursday. Some of the shops at the pop-up Christmas Village closed early. But under a tent at the base of the fountain, about two dozen activists gathered and chanted the names of the dead.

December 17 marks the International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers. Three Philadelphia-based advocacy groups (Project Safe, Revolutionary Student Coordinating Committee and the local chapter of SWOP) joined in the worldwide rally.
