State Rep. Leslie Acosta (D-Phila.), and her staff will provide information on state services and help with state applications at several mobile office events in Philadelphia starting this Thursday.
“I know people are busy these days, and may not be able to stop by my constituent services offices for whatever reason,” Acosta said. “I wanted to bring these important services to people throughout our community, and make it convenient for them to access the help they need.”
The events will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following dates:
Thursday, Aug. 6 at Cousins Supermarket, 4037 N. Fifth St.;
Saturday, Aug. 8 at Edison Square Shopping Center, 701 Lehigh Ave.;
Monday, Aug. 10 at Multicultural Wellness Center, 120 W. Wyoming Ave.;
Tuesday, Aug. 11 at Thriftway Supermarket, 2101 W. Lehigh Ave.; and
Friday, Aug. 14 at Norris Square Park, 2100 N. Howard St.
Acosta and her staff will help answer questions about *PACE/PACENET prescription-drug coverage for seniors; the state’s Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program; the Children’s Health Insurance Program; PennDOT applications; and other state-related services. Appointments are not required to attend the information sessions.
*PACE, PACENET and PACE plus Medicare are Pennsylvania's prescription assistance programs for older adults, offering low-cost prescription medication to qualified residents, age 65 and older.
