This Philadelphian is Oxygen magazine’s first Latina cover
Meet Fabiana Ferrarini, the first Latina who will appear on Oxygen magazine’s cover.
Her name is Fabiana Ferrarini and she was born in Honduras but she moved with her family to the United States at age 6. Now, she is a certified personal trainer in the Philadelphia area and she became Oxygen magazine’s first Latina cover model.
Ferrarini, who was voted the winner of The Ultimate Oxygen Challenge (a 90-day training and nutrition program), is featured on the cover of the January 2016 edition. She won the Oxygen challenge, which had more than 4,000 participants.
According to the magazine, "Ferrarini’s 'Celebrate Your Curves’ mantra reinforces the belief that working with your shape, rather than fighting it, is the key to positive body image.”
Ferrarini has a bachelor’s in Life Science from Penn State University and she works in Philadelphia, training women under the belief that what is important is to embrace “the real you.” She came to fitness after struggling with weight gain and depression following the birth of her second son, and now she is committed to health and nutrition.
