Looking for something to do this weekend in Philly?
On Saturday, Sept. 6, PaperClips215 will be celebrating its first anniversary with a party and fundraiser for the arts community.
“All proceeds will benefit the continuation of our mission, expanding our capabilities for awareness and engagement, and our variety of future events and content projects,” the organization stated.
The event will include live music, interactive art workshops, networking opportunities, a raffle with prizes from local businesses, a silent auction with prints and original works from local artists, and a photobooth by Poseybooth.
“It's a crowdsourcing campaign to highlight our creative community and commerce in the city. This is our very first party/fundraiser, where we hope to raise funds for technology development and improvement and more community outreach through events and discussions,” said Sonia Petruse, Director of Social Media & PR for the organization.
The event will be held at Kongo Kanvas, at 2102 E. Norris Street (a block from Berks stop and Frankford Ave.), from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
PaperClips215 is a non profit organization run by a team of entrepreneurs, artists, and creative professionals who support the arts scene in Philadelphia.
