NSNP to host 'Yo Soy Mi Sueño: Youth Art Showcase'
Video, silkscreen, performances, original music, and street art-style projects will be featured.
Norris Square Neighborhood Project (NSNP) will host the Youth Showcase Original Artwork, Explore Dreams for Norris Square: Featuring Poetry Readings, Live Performance, Crafts, and Visual Art in Historic in Las Parcelas Community Garden:
The NSNP will have teaching artists Saul Zayas (GALATIANS) and Calo Rosa, who have worked in West Kensington neighborhood high school to help explore individual's own artwork and community dreams in Philadelphia. Video, silk screen, performances, original music, and street art-style projects will be featured.
Anne Harrison and Linda Fernandez, youth-designed and created crafts from the Hecho EN creative place making project will be available for sale at the event.
Norris Square Neighborhood Project, founded in 1973, mission is to have positive changes through community leadership, green spaces, the arts, youth education and also the celebration of Latino culture in West Kensington.
The showcase will take place on Friday, June 17 at 5. pm. at Las Parcelas Garden.
