Each day the men and women of the Philadelphia Police and Fire Department leave their families to go to work and protect the city the serve with pride, dignity and honor. There are times when these individuals are called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice to save the lives of its citizens.

The Living Flame Memorial this year is honoring three officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Police officers Douglas Banberger and Raymond Diaz, Jr. as well as Firefighter Gabriel Lee were added to the list of the deceased during this day of rememberance.  AL DIA News would like to give their deepest condolences to the families of all the individuals who have given their lives and thank them for their honorary service.
