GALAEI held the 6th Annual DARLA celebration on April 24 at Crane White Space.

The David Acosta Revolutionary Leader Award (DARLA) is given by GALAEI, to individuals who work to improve the LGBT community.

The DARLA award was given to Ada Bello, an LGBT rights activist who is one of the earliest pioneers of the LGBT rights movement in Philadelphia.

Erika Guadalupe Nuñez was the recipient of DARLA Youth award for her work towards immigration reform.

Miguel Andrade, a youth organizer at Juntos, accepted the DARLA organization award on behalf of Juntos.

The event also featured a silent auction, food, and drinks.
