Philadelphia is all in for the Democrat National Convention (DNC) and AL DÍA News wants to join in the excitement through a series of events to commemorate this national gathering.
The agenda kicks-off with an insider Latino Town Hall conversation hosted at the Kimmel Center’s SEI Innovation Studio on Tuesday, July 19th at 5:30 pm.
Everywhere you turn, people are trying to figure out the Latino vote, and what it might mean in the November 2016 elections. This dynamic discussion features real insiders, experts and leaders who can speak to the intricacies of the Latino vote. Guests will be able to enjoy a wine bar and light refreshments.
Then AL DÍA News “Speaker Series” returns with the visit of Solomon “Sol” Trujillo to Philadelphia.
A global telecommunications, media, and cable industry executive born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Trujillo has served as CEO of large-cap media-communications companies in the U.S., the EU, and Asia-Pacific regions.
U.S. and international companies and government agencies regularly seek Sol’s advice and counsel. In addition to his current board memberships, he has served on the corporate boards of PepsiCo (retail), EDS (business technology services), Gannett (the media company that includes USA Today), Bank of America (financial services), US West, and Orange (telecommunications) and the advisory board of Alcatel (communications).
AL DÍA News will host Trujillo on July 21 at the Union League of Philadelphia. The luncheon will take place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and it will feature a keynote address from Mr. Trujillo on the financial might of the Latino Community in the U.S.

And lastly but not least, in partnership with the Philadelphia History Museum and right before the DNC kick-off, AL DÍA News will host its “DNC Unplugged Latino style" event on July 23.
This party, which will have unlimited food and open bar, will be an opportunity to commemorate Philadelphia's political history, as well as a way to get ready for the DNC.
