As the Dec. 12 deadline for Philadelphia elementary, middle and high school applications fast approaches, the school district, Free Library and non-profit Great Philly Schools are teaming up to help families submit their online applications for future high school students.

This Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. is High School Application Night, where parents and students can sit down at a computer and access help to navigate the application process.

Students who wish to attend schools outside their neighborhood public school must go through the district's application process. A school directory is available online.
