The Central Bucks School District announced that high school counselor MaryKate Blankenburg has been put on leave during multiple investigations into a post on Blankenburg's Facebook account.
On Sunday, protesters staged a "die-in" that blocked some foot and vehicle traffic outside of Lincoln Financial Field following Sunday's NFL game. The national demonstration, where protesters lay down or sit in a street or public location for four and a half minutes, represents the four and a half hours that Michael Brown lay in the streets of Ferguson after he was shot down, as well as the death of Eric Garner, killed by a white New York police officer who wrestled him to the ground with a chokehold.
Officials have not confirmed whether Blankenburg authored the post, but the Montgomery County District Attorney's office and Bucks school district both told media that they are investigating.
