AL DÍA News “Speaker Series” returns featuring businessman, global media-communications and technology executive Solomon “Sol” Trujillo at the Philadelphia Union League.

Co-chairman of the Latino Donor Collaborative, a non-partisan NGO focused on raising awareness of Latinos' contributions to the current and future success of the nation's economy and society.

“No one is talking how we drive growth, how we’re creating jobs, what’s creating jobs, what is our upside in terms of the economy,” Trujillo said to PBS Newshour. “And is where today we have a new mainstream economy driven predominantly by Latinos in growth.”

At the luncheon, Trujillo will be speaking about how Latinos power the American economy and their key role as drivers in the economy.

“Economic uncertainty and our unsettled politics lead the news today, but the most consequential business story is the one not told. It is the good news story of a group of Americans —Latinos —who have been quietly and increasingly powering U.S. economic growth, both as job creators and as consumers,” wrote Trujillo in his column “Politicians are wrong about Latinos.”

AL DÍA News will host Trujillo on July 21 at the Union League of Philadelphia. The luncheon will take place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and it will feature a keynote address from Mr. Trujillo on the financial might of the Latino Community in the U.S.
