Are you considering the adoption of a pet? If you live, work or hang out in Center City you can easily meet your adoptable friend at the Uptown Beer Garden!

Uptown Beer Garden (1735 JFK Blvd, Philadelphia) and Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society are partnering to connect adoptive pets with people who want to welcome a new member into the family during what the organizations call ¨Yappy Hour.¨

PAWS volunteers will introduce pets from the shelters to all the people who hang out at Uptown Beer Garden on Aug. 24 and Sept. 14 and 28 between 5 and 6.30 p.m.

People are welcome to bring their pets. According to the Uptown Beer Garden’s Facebook page, a portion of proceeds will be donated to the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). Guests can also make donations at the event.
