4-alarm fire destroys North Philly warehouse

A vacant warehouse in North Philadelphia went up in flames early Friday morning, injuring three.

A vacant warehouse in North Philadelphia went up in flames early this morning, injuring three.

100 firefighters battled the 4-alarm fire on the 2400 block of American Street in the West Kensington section of the city.

Officials say the fire started around 2:30 a.m. and then spread to a neighboring paper company. The blaze was under control shortly after 4:00 a.m.

One injured man had burns on 80 percent of his body and was rushed to Temple University Hospital. Two firefighters also had minor injures.
