Actor and comedian Kevin Hart opens new plant-based restaurant, Hart House
Due to limited options at fast food restaurants, Hart launched the new business to provide more plant-based food options for consumers.
Kevin Hart is not a vegan. Yet lives a plant-based diet. Due to not having plant-based options when it comes to fast food, Hart has opened a new restaurant, Hart House.
The vegan restaurant is 100% plant-based with a promise of food that has no cholesterol, antibiotics, hormones, artificial colors, preservatives, corn syrup and trans fat. According to its website, Hart House's mission is committed to the future and well-being of the planet and the human body.
"This is important to me because nothing like this exists. I am a person that dabs in the world of plant-based food and there is a miscommunication about it. The option does not exist for most and I want to embrace the temptation. It came together with amazing partners and years," Hart said.
The restaurant has the option of five different sandwiches, two quantities of nuggets (4 pieces and 8 pieces), six different sauces, two different salads, three different side dishes, four different shakes and four different drinks.
"I founded Hart House to create a good experience that combines the joy of coming together over food with the power of purpose. Our amazing chefs and team members have crafted a 100% plant-based menu that delivers "Can't-believe-it" flavor in every bite. I know you're going to love it," Hart House states on its website.

Hart feels that change is good and understands that it occurs often. However, he believes people will not change something that is good for something better. What folks eat every day is a tradition as he mentioned, and he believes that it connects people with their culture. He notes in a commercial with Spank Horton that he believes people should make changes for a better future.
"This is a move based on options. Following my diet regime, the option to have more when it comes to fast food is usually limited to only one salad or sandwich. So I said to myself, what if there was a world that existed that had a menu for a plant-based lover or someone who wants to have the experience? The beauty is that we just started and I'm excited for people to drive by and trust it has many plant-based options," Hart said.
Hart House is currently only located at 8901 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90045. And operates Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. Yet soon, it will be in Hollywood, CA and as appears on its website, 1234 Main Street, Your City USA.
The plan is to expand the restaurant to other cities in the future.
"I want to have six restaurants by the end of the year yet slowly become more credible with time. I want to get into Las Vegas, San Diego, Philadelphia and other huge cities. These are the places that attract us for business reasons. We are going to do our best and take our patience. Right now, we are going to take the pitches and make the swings," Hart said.
