Tim Burton receives star of fame in Hollywood
The famous film director was honored in front of his favorite Halloween store.
In an event filled with nostalgia and admiration, iconic director Tim Burton was honored with his first star on the famed Hollywood Walk of Fame. Surrounded by friends, colleagues and admirers, Burton, known for his gothic style and his ability to mix the dark with the fantastic, emotionally appreciated the recognition of his prolific career in the film industry.
With films such as 'Edward Scissorhands,' 'Beetlejuice,' 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' and 'Batman,' Burton has left an indelible mark on cinema, captivating generations with his unique vision. During the ceremony, the star was unveiled as Burton reflected on his career and expressed his gratitude to the actors, producers and artists who have collaborated with him over the years.
“I used to come here and visit Larry Edmunds bookstore,when I found out that (the star's location) was here, I almost started crying because I've been coming here since I was a little kid and this store hasn't changed a bit. So for me it's an honor to have a star, but also to have it here, in front of this incredible store,” said the director during his speech.

Celebrity cast members such as Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder joined Burton at the ceremony, held in front of his favorite childhood costume and toy store. Other close associates of Burton's were also on hand to celebrate this important milestone.
Tim Burton's star now shines among the biggest names in the entertainment industry, a well-deserved recognition for one of the most influential creators of recent decades.
Burton's latest film, 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice', will hit theaters on September 6.
