New music reality show on Star+ dives into Spanish language freestyling
'El Heredero: La dinastía del freestyle' premieres on Jan. 20.
The new music reality series El Heredero: La dinastía del freestyle on Star+ is out to showcase the new freestyle artists in the Spanish language. It will be hosted by Facundo, a Mexican influencer.
The battles will feature five champions of the "improvised rap" genre in the region: freestylers Aczino, from Mexico; Jaze, from Peru; Skone, from Spain; Dtoke? from Argentina, and Kaiser, from Chile.
"Five freestyle legends will search for the next representative of the movement," Star+ wrote on Instagram after revealing its upcoming premiere.

For their part, fans of the genre have not hesitated to share their excitement on social media. With comments such as "incredible how far freestyle has come" and "the best of the new talents," expectations are high for the reality show.
The participating teams face each other in word battles and will be progressively eliminated until the next king is crowned, who will receive a prize of $50,000, the platform said in a press release.
El Heredero: La dinastía del freestyle was recorded in Mexico City, created and produced by BTF Media under the Star Original Productions label. The show also had segments recorded in different locations across Latin America and Spain.
In total, the show will air 20 episodes, four of which will be released every Friday.
