Jenna Ortega nominated for a SAG Award
The American actress with Mexican and Puerto Rican roots was nominated for her work in the series 'Wednesday.'
Jenna Ortega, who plays Wednesday Addams in the hit Netflix series Wednesday, will compete in the Best Actress in a Comedy Series at the upcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards against Quinta Brunson of Abbott Elementary, Jean Smart of Hacks, Rachel Brosnahan of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Christina Applegate of Dead to Me.
The Hollywood Screen Actors Guild Awards judge acting and recognize the best work in film and television over the past year.
Ashley Park, known for playing Mindy in Emily in Paris, and Haley Lu Richardson, Portia in The White Lotus, announced the nominations on the organization's social media.

The 29th SAG Awards gala will take place on Sunday, Feb. 26, in Los Angeles. For the first time in the history of the awards, they will be streamed on Netflix's YouTube channel.

In addition to Wednesday, the streaming giant, which will become the official streamer of the SAG Awards in 2024, has 15 nominations across 11 categories.
Among these nominations are Niecy Nash Betts, nominated for Best Actress in a Limited Series for Dahmer, Jason Bateman for Best Actor in a Drama Series for Ozark, the series The Crown, nominated for Best Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, Ana de Armas for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her role as Marilyn Monroe in Blonde, among others.
