"Through this series, our mission is to continue to celebrate the incredible contributions Latinas and Latinos have made to this country and beyond, which have often been left out of the pages of history," said Ben DeJesus, a producer who joined Leguizamo on the project, in a statement.
American Historia will be a three-part series, where each episode will combine visits to historical sites, interviews with professional historians and important figures in Latino culture.
