Guillermo del Toro's 'Pinocchio' wins Best Animated Feature
The Online Association of Women Film Critics recognized the flick as Best Animated Film.
Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio has already begun to win awards after its theatrical release on Nov. 24 and worldwide drop on Netflix on Dec. 9.
The animated film, inspired by Carlo Collodi's tale of the same name, received the Best Animated Feature award from the Online Association of Women Film Critics on Dec. 20, beating out Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and Turning Red.
"This year's Online Film Critics Association award for Best Animated Feature goes to Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio," the Association posted on its Twitter.

So far, del Toro's film also has two nominations at the 2023 Golden Globes, three nominations at the Critics Choice Awards, and is part of the potential nominee list ahead of Oscar nominations.
The director told EFE in an interview that Pinocchio is a portrait of death "as a necessary, beautiful and profound entity."
"It was essential that life and death were sisters and had a dialogue through Pinocchio, (...) life without death makes no sense, if something does not end, it never began," del Toro said.
With the film, the Mexican director seeks to demonstrate that animations are not only made for children, but are a matter of art in storytelling.
Pinocchio is available on Netflix worldwide, with a run time of one hour 57 minutes, it is one of the favorites this awards season.
