Cartoon Network Latin America announced that the Colombian series Juaco vs. Paco will begin airing next Monday, June 7 at 7:00 pm and that new episodes will appear in that time slot going forward.

This acquisition is part of the current dynamic of large companies to seek original Latin material.

Juaco vs Paco is a series created by John Hernández and Mónica Richa that has already won the Crea Digital 2019 call for entries from the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MinTIC) and the Ministry of Culture, attracting attention on the way to becoming the first Colombian digital production to be aired on Cartoon Network.

The 2D animated series tells the story of two 12-year-old twin brothers that are soccer fanatics, but both have never entered a stadium and will do everything in their power to get into the "El Campeche" stadium, where their favorite stars play.

The humor arises when we discover that both are a disaster when it comes to playing soccer and that they are less experts than they appear to be. The soccer field will be protected by a security guard and his dog who will not allow them to enter.

In this way Colombia joins Brazil, Argentina and Mexico in terms of original children's productions in a strong moment for animation in the country:

"Latin America has been building a path for several years, in the case of Colombia it is an honor for me to be part of the first Colombian animated series that will be on the screens of Cartoon Network, showing a production designed for young people who are willing to pursue their dreams," added John Hernández.

On the strong animation ecosystem, he added:

"I think the focus on social management has been on the rise for several years now. Programs such as 'Computadores para Educar' or 'Vivelab' are good initiatives that must necessarily be reformulated and be sensitive to the implementation of other variables to achieve maturity. There, the contents we produce as creators are going to be vital because they somehow reflect our identity as Colombians."

"Creating spaces like these are very important for both the public and the brands, because they connect in a fun way to key audiences around a sport as popular as soccer, mobilizing emotions and feelings, but above all influencing the attitudes and behaviors of people and especially children and teenagers." said Milagros Martínez Frugoni, Warner Media Kids team leader in Argentina and Sr. Marketing Director, Latin America.
