With the support of Karol G, next weekend Tatiana Calderón returns to the FIA Formula 2 Championship at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, the first of four events in which she will take part during the rest of her 2022 season.

On Saturday he will have his first of two races, and on Sunday morning he will run the second in the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix preview.

"I'm very happy to be able to relaunch my season, but especially to be able to do it thanks to the support of Karol G, who has given me the opportunity to keep racing, to keep dreaming. I am a No. 1 fan of her music, but beyond that, of what she represents as a woman, of the path she continues to open and empower women to fight for their dreams, from the bottom of my heart, thank you," said the Colombian athlete. 

Karol G's support has already been joined by AVL RaceTech and Claro-Telcel, which will also make it possible for Tatiana to return to competition after her IndyCar season was interrupted.

In 2019, Tatiana became the first and so far only woman to compete regularly in Formula 2, a series to which she returns alongside the Charouz Racing System team, with whom she had the opportunity to conduct post-season testing in 2018.

"Motorsport is one of the few sports where men and women can compete hand in hand if we are given the opportunities and that is what she is doing for my career," Tatiana mentioned, emphasizing that "we need more women in this and all sports, we need more inclusion and initiatives that really promote it." 

For her upcoming races, Tatiana will have the "Bichota" and "Karol G" logos stamped on her car as icons of the acclaimed international artist. 

Tatiana will be racing at the Spa Francorchamps, Zandvoort, Monza and Yas Marina circuits between August and November, in a gesture of empowerment and as part of an appeal to support the Colombian driver's career.
