Tickets to the different performances of the II Hispanic Theater Festival in Miami will be free for the public at the Trail Theater, Theater 8, Havanafama, the Regency Arts Stroll, Artefactus and the Catarsis Theater.

"The festival was born after the passage of the pandemic with the objective of thanking our community for all the support received in these difficult times," Alejandro Vales, co-director of Teatro 8, told El Nuevo Herald

Vales pointed out that although other cities open their doors free of charge for the public to enjoy the theater, "there is no precedent in the city of Miami of a similar event" as the one offered during the month-long festival.

The performances will take place on Wednesdays, Oct. 12, 19 and 26, Nov. 2 and 9, at 8 p.m., in addition to Sunday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m.

"The first edition had a full acceptance, all the performances were full, the enjoyment of the public was maximum, which encouraged us to this second edition," the director also said.

This year's edition of the festival in Miami is supported by HISTEPA (Hispanic Theater and Producers Association) of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.

The first performance will be presented on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at the Havanafama Theater in Miami with Dracula, a show based on the work of Bram Stoker.

The last performance will be on Nov. 13 with the interpretation of El Circo de Enriqueta y Agapito at Teatro 8.
