Ana Gomez Ramirez works as a cashier in a cafeteria inside a U.S. Senate office building. She came to the U.S. from El Salvador as an undocumented child and benefits from the privileges of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program).

A 26-year-old mother of three, Gomez Ramirez tells the Huffington Post she once served Senator Jeff Sessions, nominated attorney general under President Donald Trump and an advisor on his  immigration crackdown. 

“He was nice,” Gomez Ramirez recalled after a recent shift. “Even though he doesn’t want us here.”

The Trump Administration has insisted that the deportation of 'Dreamers" is not his main priority. There are more than 700,000 'dreamers' in the US. The DACA program allows undocumented immigrants that entered the country with 16 years old or less to live and work in the US.

 Now, after hearing cases of detention of deportations of DACA across the country, Gomez Ramirez fears deportation. Read more in The Huffington Post.
