It is hard to say who was the best player today in Brazil’s dominating win over South Korea in the Round of 16 at the 2022 World Cup.

The whole Brazilian attack with Neymar, Lucas Paquetá, Vini Jr, and Richarlison set the tone for what the team wants to achieve — all scored in the first half, guaranteeing Brazil’s place among the eight best teams.

As a big team should do, Brazil didn’t wait and before the 15 first minutes, the team already secured a two goal advantage. Vini Jr. opened the night, and Neymar — returning after two games because of an ankle injury — doubled the advantage after a penalty was conceded in a challenge on Richarlison.

The Pombo — which means ‘dove’ in Portugueses and is Richarlison’s nickname — didn’t disappoint, and following his magical goal three games ago, scored another spectacular one to make it 3-0. He controlled the ball three times with his head and foot before kicking.

By minute 36, Brazil went four up with Lucas Paquetá scoring at the end of amazing and fast play by the attacking system.

The game against South Korea was by far the best Brazilian half, and game, in this World Cup for the South American giants. Their defense was also convincing. South Korea had few chances, but Park Seung-ho scored South Korea’s honor goal: an amazing 30-yard strike.

Today’s display was incredible, and sent a message to Brazil’s future adversaries. The South Americans will play again on Friday, Dec. 9, against Croatia — which beat Japan earlier today on penalties.

If everything goes according to plan, Brazil and Argentina will play the semifinals next week, in a game to stop the whole continent.
