Cartagena, Colombia is one of the most beautiful cities to visit in the world, located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea. It stands out for its Spanish colonial architecture, delicious food and tourist attractions, making it a favorite destination for thousands of travelers.

Getting to Cartagena is easier than it seems. The easiest way is to enter the city is via the Rafael Núñez International Airport, however, there are other less traditional ways to get to the 'Corralito de Piedra.'

Those who wish to come by plane from abroad can take a flight to the capital of Colombia, Bogotá, and then another direct flight to Cartagena. Another common connecting flight to take is one from Panama City.

For those who love marine life, it is also possible to reach Cartagena by yacht, catamaran or sailboat. This is an experience for those who like to live among the waves and take the opportunity to visit the islands surrounding the city.

For those who choose to enter the city by sea, it is possible to dock in the bay of Manga or at one of the docks designated for boats, as is the case of the Muelle de la Bodeguita.

In addition, due to its privileged position, Cartagena is a port of call and embarkation for well-known cruise lines, which have vessels that travel the Caribbean.

For the more adventurous travelers who want to know Cartagena and other cities and countries in its vicinity, they can choose to enter by land via car or buses that provide international travel services.

The city has a land transportation terminal, where buses arrive from: Bogotá, Bucaramanga, Cali, Medellin, the entire Colombian Caribbean Coast, Caracas, Venezuela, and Maracaibo, Venezuela.

However, thousands of people arrive every year Cartagena through its different borders with Panama, Ecuador, Peru and Brazil, and the experience allows them to go through different cities on the way to Cartagena, where they can relax on its beaches or walk inside the walled city.

Cartagena is a destination that attracts all eyes and it's why any option to get there is ideal. You just have to look for the most convenient one in terms of time, budget and of course, traveler's spirit.
