Starring Lupita Ferrer, Lili Renteria, Raul Cruz and Ariadna Gutierrez, "A Doll's House 2. The Return of Nora" is performed almost 140 years after its premiere.

"This play was remade by the American playwright Lucas Hnath. He writes what happens to Nora once she leaves home," Juan Montero, Venezuelan director of the play, told EFE.

Montero also mentioned that the play, which was originally written in English, "is very well written, with a lot of temperament, a dramatic comedy with a serious connotation and real scope."

"A Doll's House 2" was the winner of 8 Tony Award nominations for theater in 2017 and this will be the first time it will be presented in Spanish in Miami.

The director of the play emphasized that the message touched in the presentation is still valid in today's world, as women continue to have disadvantages in certain areas of everyday life.

"The play is essential for its critical attitude towards the rules of marriage and for the courage of Nora, a feminist woman ahead of her time who is once again forced to confront society, which still continues to threaten her," he said in a statement released by EFE.

The presentation will take place at the Sandrell Rivers Theater from January 13th to 22nd, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 6 p.m.
