The Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) is bringing its Women of ALPFA Symposium to Philadelphia. This annual event provides Latina/o professionals and students from around the country with opportunities to network, learn, mentor and develop leadership skills.

“Financial Empowerment Without Boundaries” is the theme of the program, which aims to give Latinas a platform to “acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to grow and sustain financial power to continue to advance personally and professionally.”

The symposium will be held on Wednesday, May 2, at the National Museum of American Jewish History, 101 South Independence Mall East.

“This event provides an important platform for talented and motivated Latino women to learn what we are not taught through formal education yet is crucial for our financial and professional success,” said Maria Villamar, Director of Events ALPFA Philadelphia, in a press release. “This promises to be a World Economic Forum-style event with dynamic speakers, innovative sessions and unique networking, leadership development, and mentoring opportunities for our members and attendees.”

The program will feature executive leaders from global companies, including BNY Mellon Pershing, Ernst & Young, and Janssen: Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson.

The cost of the event is $15 for ALPFA members, $25 for non-members.

Registration closes on Sunday, April 30. To register, click here.
