On Aug. 2, 2023, Coors Light opened applications to its 2023 Coors Light Líderes of the Year program, continuing the company’s commitment to supporting Latino leaders that help their communities for the 17th year in a row.

The Líderes of the Year program spotlights five Latinos for their work with nonprofits, awarding their organization a $10,000 grant, and connects them with previous winners through the Change Makers Alumni Network.

“We know how important it is to champion the efforts of remarkable Latino leaders who strive to uplift their communities and celebrate their heritage,” said Lacey Golonka, manager of community affairs for Molson Coors, in a statement. 

“Molson Coors is proud to offer exclusive access to our alumni network, providing essential resources to enhance professional development, mentorship and growth. We look forward to the 2023 Líderes joining our cohort of alumni trailblazers creating lasting change,” she continued.

This alumni network acts as a collaborative space where over 200 professionals in the nonprofit field can connect, teach, learn, pursue growth, and share resources with one another.

Those chosen for the program will be regularly promoted through annual features alongside their achievements, and on social media, as well to show their continued success as they advance through their careers to act as role models for future Latino leaders.

The nomination process can be done through self nomination or by completing an application on behalf of a nominee, outlining their community impact and the impact of their affiliated nonprofit. 

To be eligible, nominees must be of Hispanic or Latino descent between the ages of 21 and 39, and are actively involved in a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that serves the community.

Nominations and applications are open across the U.S. and Puerto Rico through September 15. Awardees of the grant will be announced in October, with official celebration occurring during Hispanic Heritage Month.
