The consumption of raw milk has been associated with a significantly higher risk of foodborne illnesses compared to pasteurized milk. In fact, studies and data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicate that drinking raw milk makes individuals 840 times more likely to contract illnesses, including serious infections caused by bacteria such as Salmonella, E. coli, and Listeria.
