Until a few years ago, the populist movement founded by Hugo Chávez, was cause for excitement and amazement for observers around the world. Travel to Caracas to see first hand the successes of the Bolivarian revolution, became part of the attention of politicians and Universalists around the globe.

However, all the optimistic expectations forged through paternalistic discourses and multitudinous promises, landed in widespread disappointment. Disasters are not held. Blame the meltdown to low oil prices and not to government inefficiency, only convinces the naive or the radical fanatics seeking to blame everything to the United States, or the international capitalism managed from Washington and Wall Street. The regime of Maduro lost the friendly mask. -If is that any time it was-today is a Government authoritarian and despot, diminished by the corruption and militarized in the power.

Manna from oil, which came to Venezuela in the form of currency, promoted a State of prosperity for a long period, - 2003 - 2014 - but ended up becoming a debt reaching $ 185 billion. I.e. a flow of huge money among knick-knacks and corruption was squandered. The goodies (metaphorically speaking), were subsidies to consumption of the popular classes. And the corruption ran by the chavista oligarchy. Therefore, the economy is flooded.

The first ingredient that gave opening to the prevailing crisis, was shown in the manipulation of the electoral system by Chávez. It was important not to appear in the eyes of the democratic world, as an autocrat ruler, - military that in addition he led two attempted coups of State failed--or as a dictator from left stigmatized by Fidel Castro from Cuba.

While there were general elections, Chavez would remain a loyal Democrat. However, they were few outside the country, who details quietly manipulated voter lists, the shameless rebels, or the indiscriminate use of the State funds interested to promote the ruling party, get votes with promises of houses or Government subsidies, and pass to discriminate against the opposition. Nor no one lifted up her voice, and if they did they were silenced with the costly detail that the electoral umpires were activists of the party Chavez.

Is so them Venezuelans have voted in nineteen occasions since 1999, and the ruling party has won in 17. It has been destroyed after each election step democracy, overlapping the current Constitution every time a little more. Chavez was a true artist in the art of an autocracy established by himself. The world was silent.

Obviously to the collapse of the economy, they dwindled public services; health, education and security. Now, the popularity of the Bolivarian regime has fallen sharply. Dead Chavez by prostate cancer, took Nicolas Maduro. During his presidency, the country has experienced a significant increase in crime, especially murder rate, and in recent years has risen to stratospheric levels perceived corruption in the Government, the police and officials in general. The use of laws enabling and forms of communication defined as «propaganda Bolivarian», also have been cause of burning controversial that the Government of mature omitted as if not out part of its political.

When the Bolivarian regime understood that closing the independent communication media, it was damaging its reputation in the world, solution is managed by buying these companies, using as intermediaries to figureheads disguised as private entrepreneurs. The new owners, without hesitation transformed them into pro-Government propaganda devices.

The freedom of press in Venezuela today, is a farce continuous, a circus propaganda that dulls the senses by insistence as advertising repeatedly. The speeches by the poor, have concealed a systematic looting of resources by the Bolivarian bourgeoisie. Proof of this are the one hundred billion dollar revenues from oil in the National Development Fund, which no one knows where they went to, nor much less have deigned in public accountability for profligacy.

It is not lunatic come to believe, that a nation with the largest reserves of oil, mineral-rich planet, it should be enough to satisfy the higher bourgeoisie kleptocratic in South America. But no, it has begun to demonstrate to the world that there are representatives of the Government which are implicated in the trafficking of cocaine.

On November 12, 2015, Efrain Antonio field flowers, Godson of the Venezuelan President, and Francisco Flores de Freitas, nephew of his wife, were charged with trying to introduce 800 kilos of cocaine in United States. Efraín Antonio Campo flowers - one of the people closest to Maduro-, 29-year-old, and his cousin, Francisco Flores de Freitas, were arrested in an operation coordinated by the Agency against drug trafficking in the United States, the DEA. U.S. authorities requested the immediate extradition of field flowers and flowers de Freitas. According to the newspaper The Wall Street Journal, fields flowers were identified on the flight to the United States to the agents who were guarding him, as "adopted son" of Nicolas Maduro. "

His aunt, the wife of President Maduro, accused the United States of "kidnapping". Likewise, Mexico, Panama and United States, anti-drug agencies have on a list of suspects to dozens of senior Venezuelan officials, who are supposed used diplomatic pouches to directly introduce cocaine into Europe and the United States.

There are no rules the use of dirty tricks. The Government of Nicolas Maduro brought to Venezuela to Pablo Iglesias, Spanish leader of the party's left "can", featuring succulent cash payments for a series of conferences and clean up their bad image, political which was denounced in turn by the Spanish Government. If there is an honest considered left, this is the Spanish that has not grown weary of denouncing corruption in Spain.

Crime in Venezuela is a problem that affects the entire country. Venezuela is listed as the nation more insecure in the world according to Gallup poll in 2013, where the United Nations argues that this type of problems is due to the bad economic and political situation in the country. The rate of intentional killings in Venezuela is also one of the highest in the world.

In 2008, several polls indicated that crime was the main concern of voters. Other surveys carried out in 2014 by Gallup, showed that only 19 percent of Venezuelans felt safe to walk only during the night, with nearly a quarter of respondents noting that they, or a member of the family had been moored in the last year.

The State Department of the United States, described Venezuela as a country of "origen, transit, and destination for men, women and children subjected to sexual trafficking and work esclavo". "As a result of the high levels of crime, Venezuelans have been forced to change some habits of life.

Venezuela is an authentic vessel travelling adrift, with a helmsman which not only demonstrated inefficiency, omission or ignorance to entrenched corruption. The truth is that there is no democracy, and for this reason the Venezuelan opposition acts with his hands tied and with its leader Leopoldo López sentenced to 14 years in prison by judges appointed by the Government. Torture, arbitrary detention and criminal prosecution of dissidents by the Venezuelan Government, as well as the arbitrary dismissal of public employees who, like thousands of Venezuelans, are in favor of a recall referendum that could end the Presidency of Nicolas Maduro have been documented.

Venezuela does not give for more. It is on the brink of the abyss.
