Education is the top-rated issue for Pennsylvanians across the state, according to a recent Franklin and Marshall College poll

One in three Pennsylvanians surveyed rated education and schooling as the most important problem facing Pennsylvania today—more than unemployment, tax rates, government size, political corruption and energy issues. The findings differ from national polls that have recently reported unemployment to be the country's biggest problem.

2014 Elections

As the primary elections for gubernatorial candidates fast approach, more Democratic candidates are advertising their platforms than previously this year. However, Tom Wolf, the current front-runner in the primary race followed by Allyson Schwartz, still has the most viewers, according to the same Franklin and Marshall College poll. Of those who have seen gubernatorial commercials, 85 percent have seen Wolf's, while just 7 percent have seen Schwartz's and less than half have seen Rob McCord's and Katie McGinty's

Almost half of those surveyed said that they were still making up their mind on who to vote for in this year's election.
