National Intelligence Director Dan Coats and National Security Agency Administrative Director Mike Rogers described their interactions with the President regarding Russian investigation as "odd and uncomfortable," but also asserted that they do not consider the President has "ordered" them to interfere, according to a source informed CNN.

Both agents would have testified at separate meetings last week with the team of special attorney Robert Mueller, who investigates the possible obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump.

Both agents had refused to describe their relations with President Trump at a public hearing on June 7 before the Senate Committee, but during their private and individual meetings last week both agents stated, according to Congressional sources, that Trump wanted them to publicly state what the former FBI Director, James Comey, told the President in private: that he was not under investigation for collusion.

However, according to the CNN report, sources indicated that neither Coats nor Rogers showed concern that Trump had pressured them to do something they did not want to do.

While the fact that both officials did not answer questions in public raised frustrations on the part of several representatives of the Committee, their private statements make it clear that when it comes to Russia, President Trump's situation is becoming more and more uncomfortable.
